FYI... Safari can be accessed outside of the intranet at an additional cost. There are many other features that you are not listing for Safari as well as DE. Safari can also house teacher and student digital content as well (videos, images, flipcharts, etc)

I've used this list that my husband compiled a few years ago (it's a cached version; the origianl is looking for a new web-home): http://www.arcane.org/?p=2498

I also use bits of the Harlem Globetrotters for physics (angular momentum stuff), weird commercials that use products with special properties (WillItBlend, Erberts & Gerberts candle cannon, Mythbusters clips for lots of things, and TED talks for new/in-depth discussions.

the site went down without notifying its users taking all data with it. They guaranteed in their FAQ they were making backups and take safety very important. No notice till now about how to get data back. No note on site either. poor service.

I have always enabled this option for our teachers. We went with the Sonic Wall years ago for the express purpose of allowing teachers to unlock the fllter-- both for themselves and for students when something they need is blocked. When the browser closes, the filter locks up again. It is great!
